The images from a digital camera or scanner are likely to be too large to attach to posts or use in your gallery. You will need to use a program on your computer to resize or "resample" them to make them smaller to fit in the limits.

If you are using Windows and don't have anything on your PC already, try IrfanView which is free from www.irfanview.com. Open the image with it, choose "Image" - "Resize/Resample" and you can resize it to whatever you want. Then when you save it use "Save As" and give it a different name so you don't overwrite the original one.

Suggestions and brief usage instructions for other (preferably free) software, especially for other operating systems, are welcomed.
