"I'm always late and this declaration is as well... We both made mistakes. You essentially cheated on me. You lied to me about how far you had gone with her and your words and actions devastated me, I haven't still recovered from that mentally. But I forgive all of that. I take too much time to get close to people and for that reason I was distant. It's very difficult for me to express myself verbally, which is why I didn't tell you I love you. But I want to tell you that now: I love you."

Many years ago the relationship that never quite happened contacted me. We spoke for a bit and I apologized for my behavior at the time. We exchanged Xmas cards for a few years and have since lost touch with one another. Last I heard he had accepted his sexuality and started dating guys. I wish nothing but the best for him and hope he has found a great guy and is madly in love with him.

I was 12 and he was 18. Things didn't go well. He talked me into sex, we did it, I wasn't ready for everything that would come out of it. I'm still slightly damaged by it. He continued to harass me until I transferred out of the school.

No. I thought I was in love with my first boyfriend, but looking back it was more the illusion and thrill of new things than anything else.

Second boyfriend, who I thought I was in love with, but only loved one aspect of his physical appearance. I was his first girlfriend and his first kiss. It was pretty bad for him. I broke up with him because I didn't care. There wasn't any emotional bond from my side.

Third boyfriend, I broke up with him because I didn't care for him.

Fourth boyfriend. I didn't care for him. Same as the other two relationships.

One guy in between boyfriends. I kissed him once when I was drunk. He took things too seriously, and fell for me really hard. We'd been friends since middle school. He was extremely chivalrous, caring, giving, loving, and accepting, but his looks weren't appealing. At all. I mean, I'm not extremely superficial, but knowing my history with past relationships, I would've NEVER been able to love him back, handsome or not. He told me he loved me and wrote me a love letter I never read.

Fifth boyfriend. I thought he was the one. He has ever characteristic I thought I loved in a man, but I just couldn't love him. I had little to no patience, mistreated him, and he DID NOT deserve any of my intolerance and lack of love. I thought I could love him, with time, but I couldn't. So, I broke up with him and broke his heart.

Basically, I've broken every guy I've been with because I can't love them. Even if I give my best effort, I just can't. The funny thing is all of these guys were amazing. They treated me very well and showed me how much they loved me every day, but I just couldn't give it back.
