regular member to full member request?

We get your application. We'll let you know when we've come to a decision, don't worry. We're just backed up on the applications because of how much the forum has grown recently, so it usually takes a few weeks for one to be processed.

I was wondering how long it takes but I sent mine like yesterday lol. I was curious but didnt think to ask!

 

It might be a while since they appear to have lots of requests. I sent mine in about a week ago.

 

Staff: Given the number of people who wonder whether their application is received, it might be good to send them an automated (or manual but brief) message when the application is received and viewed by staff.

 

That would certainly making things easier. I've brought that up with our tech people to see if it's possible.

Also, we've received applications from everyone who has posted since my last post in this thread who isn't already a Full Member.

 

I vaguely remember the application saying it could take "a few days", so perhaps an edit to that would be a low tech fix.

For anyone wondering if we got their application, you should have seen a screen that said this after you submitted your application:

If you saw that, we got your application. Just ignore the "few days" bit; it's outdated.

 

It took two weeks for me.

 

Looks like it is now taking a month or more. OP is still waiting, as well as I.

 

I was just about to ask this, but I was too afraid I would sound impatient. xD

I suppose it's worth noting as well that a good chunk of the staff are university students and it's also exam time for us.. so you could very well expect a longer wait on your apps to be processed.

 

Well this explains a lot! I'm nowhere near the point of being to where I can apply for full membership yet, but this will answer a question I'm sure I'll have once at that point.
