I'm freaking obsessed with the rain. I love it more than people.

I HATE rain. I love being outdoors and can't stand being wet. Here in NY with our extremely humid summers, rain storms pop up all the time and its annoying.

Depends. In England we get this shitty 'rain' that I call moist air because that's literally what is it. It's not falling but it just sits in the air, gets you soaked somehow and makes for a really bad day. Also the rain here is ice cold and is usually paired with wind which makes me hate it.

I went to spain when I was 11 and experienced warm rain for the first time, it was bliss.

I put indifferent, because it depends, sometimes i love it, and sometimes i hate it. I mostly love it, though!

I love it for the most part. The only time I don't like it is when I'm expecting snow and we get rain instead. Otherwise, we need the rain--I live in a dry area and every little bit of rain helps.

It really depends. If it's going to ruin a planned activity outside (like several outdoor concerts it's ruined for me), then I hate it. If we really need it, or it's late at night and it's something to fall asleep to, then I quite enjoy it. Plus it can be fun to run around in the rain and cool off

I love rain, mostly because a lot of people dislike it, so it's more quiet when I'm going for a walk.

I love rain. I have started appreciating it a lot more than I have in the past. I like the scent in the air and the atmosphere that it can create.

It's peaceful. And I want to go to a school that is in a region that gets a lot of rain. So I have that association.

    Depends.

Sometimes if it's a dark day and raining it makes me kind of sad but then other times I just want to go run in the rain haha.

I didn't choose anything on the poll since indifferently is having no feeling about it.

If I'm inside and I have nothing to do that day, I love it. I I'm outside and/or doing things, I don't like it.

I'll pass. Cloudy days and rain drain me of my energy. I'd rather have sunshine any day.

So...what I'm getting is that about 3/4 of LGBT people dig rain...wow.

That *has* to be significantly higher than the general population, or weather people wouldn't be so damned biased about talking about "nice/beautiful/pleasant" days.

So what I want to know is: WHY? Is it just that we are so used to running contrary to society that where we can we embrace socially acceptable ways to be contrary to society? (Not that you can't get yourself in serious trouble many places by wishing out loud for rain.) Or are there other reasons why LGBT people would be *particularly* partial to precipitation?
