    At this point its really hard for me to not be an open book. In fact, I sometimes think I "overshare", and have to be more careful. Honesty is always better, I think, perhaps with the prologue like "This has been a very hard time for me and I really just need understanding from friends, not their judgements; if I can I count on this from you then I'm happy to share my story." Then, they've agreed up front, and their conscience will likely bother them if they start passing judgement later on.

    I suppose I might have been thinking about recognition at the time of divulgence. Silly me. Looks like I got that, although it has taken 15 months to emerge in another's conversation. Naïve at my age? Who knew? Anyway, time will tell...
