Well folks I was planning to propose to my partner this weekend but after days saying it'd be sunny, now it says it's going to storm. I had planned to take him out to the island in our city as many secluded nice spots there as he's also not big on attention so doesn't want like a proposal where whole bunch of people are around per se. I'm just curious if people have nice indoor ideas for proposals perhaps? Please note restaurants are out as again, in public. He would rather something where dozens of people aren't staring at him lol. Any advice welcomed.
Just delay it until weather allows. But if he knows you're going to propose, why does it matter if you do it away somewhere and not at home? Plenty of privacy there.
Have any close quiet art museums or indoor gardens? Maybe a park that has some type of enclosure or pavilion?
Appreciate those who suggested doing a home proposal. Tbh him and I chatted about it a while ago and he kind of made it clear he’d rather not. Tbh we both find it kind of tacky? May work for some but just not for us. And maybe will consider a quiet museum or something? Worse comes to worse I postpone to next month when it is possible for us to do so.
Well I wanted to provide a bit of an update....I'm engaged And it was completely what I'd expect from my relationship with my now-fiance haha. He's jokingly teased me asking if I'm going to propose whenever i say I have a surprise or am like "well actually" for two years and this time we were at the island as I had originally planned. After we got a photo with the CN Tower in background, we're walking away and he asked if I wanted to do anything else before we returned home and I'm like "well" he asked are you going to propose, so I popped out the ring. Didn't actually get down on one knee, just handed him the ring box, and he put it on Which tbh for someone who isn't a big attention person, was kind of perfect. And though he's never been a big ring person, he's been wearing it pretty much every day (minus if he's got waterpolo cause doesn't want to lose it in the pool.) Funny enough I'm not a big ring person either but namely as I often get a rash (nickel allergy) but he wanted to get me a ring cause naturally felt weird him having one and me not, so he ordered mine the other day It's going to be a while before we get married but just happy it finally worked out proposal wise
