Is abortion legal where you live?
You're 25, so I don't think you need your parents' permission.

I'm sorry if I sound rude, but is there a particular reason why you were sleeping with a man?

I don't think it is. If it was, she probably would've said so by now.

Do you want to get an abortion? I think that's your best option at the moment, if you want to. If you do want to, take care not to waste time; abortions need to be carried out quickly due to legal limits of the age of the foetus, and some fake organisations masquerade as abortion providers and delay it until it's illegal.

I say the sooner you have the abortion the better.
It'll be a lot less painful and grusome if you get it done now.

That is rather irrelevant and not the point of this thread, I think.

I'm sorry this happened to you, it doesn't seem like it's exactly what you want to be dealing with at the moment. :frowning2:

Have you thought about adoption? You could pick a gay couple who has been waiting for a long time to have a child. There are many agencies where you can pick the family your child goes to, and many of them cater to gay couples.

This seems like a better idea and you'd would end up helping others out with something that started as a problem!

The process of birth is still long and expensive, as are the risks of job security while pregnant.

Except that it's still a problem for Stocking; it's not a better idea if it affects her job and her financial security and can involve a lot of difficult paperwork.

Perhaps, but abortion is not as simple as one might think, either. It can have serious ramifications in the short- and long-term, which people often don't think about until it's too late. In some cases, it's the only option. But the other options should be considered first, IMO.

Stocking, if adoption is something you'd consider, call up a local agency and ask them for advice on what to do in your situation. You are definitely not the first girl with no money struggling with this type of problem, so they will be able to guide you.

Please don't try to scare and guilt someone into giving birth.

There are a lot of adoption agencies that will assist with the medical bills and help you cope through the pregnancy, "adoption families" would also help out with living expenses etc.. I strongly suggest looking into adoption, there are a lot of options out there. There are so many people that want to help you.
