It seems only about half a dozen posts about this disease. I do have it ... verified with second opinion.

My issue is that I wish to just masturbate; i'm not concerned about my partner and sex..we know that is a non-issue but because one of the side effects is loss of size along with my ED, I'm just not able to get an erection and/or maintain anything.

I've tried a prescription vacuum pump, the ED drugs and even porn with amyl nitrate. But nothing. I'm turning 60 in January. I have a brother who is 65 and has had surgery for prostate cancer - we haven't talked about his sexual issues but I suspect it's non-existent because he's had surgery before for hemorrhoids.

I guess the issue I run into is I'm on Social Security Disability - so it's Medicare and I can't continue any kind of treatment pattern without out-of-pocket expense. Neither of the doctors broached the subject of surgery and I didn't bring it up either fearing it would just go to the Medicare won't pay issue and we need to see if something works for a year, and you may be too old to do anything (those damn death panels)

Anyway, anyone else have similar issue of just successfull masturba
tion with about 3 inches and the curve (having to pull it out)? thanks.

Just noticed where you are from. So am I.

Sorry about your condition, really. I looked at your post because I am very interested in disease processes and voila.

yes i appreciate it; just had a therapy session because this has come up again due to trying to decide about a real treatment plan decision. I can't get doctors to do anything other than a lotion that helps break down the scar tissue during the acute stage. Hell, I can't get them to even give a diagnosis of acute or chronic. I told her that I came across a forum dealing with peyronie's but from a gay mans perspective.

The quandry I find myself in, here in Manhattan, it is quite difficult to find those 'dates' around town. I've come across a device for 'traction therapy'; from the reading it really just sounds like a fetish toy item, but you wear it for about 6-9 hours a day with breaks every couple of hours. This helps extend the curvature to the opposite side causing it to return mostly to its position. There are other benefits and other risks but am talking to my doctor[s.
