I don't even need to read this:

-Size doesn't matter, if you know what your doing it makes no difference.
There are some guys with a huge dick who don't know how to use it.

agreed. lol the only reason people think size matters and big = better is because porn makes us think guys have to be that big for it to feel good.

There are a lot of insecurities on this subject, so it is hard to come up with trite phrases that reflect reality.

Does size matter? Yes, of course. Is it the only thing that matters? Of course not. And its relative importance is going to differ from person to person. This is further complicated by that fact that this is a well known insecurity, so if someone wants to hurt someone else they could insult their size, even if in reality it didn't truly matter as much to them.

Generally speaking, as mentioned in the article, girth is more physically appreciated than length (stretching over poking, I guess).

Also, pornography helps create/support a myth that bigger always equals better, but in reality an overly large size intimidates and can be a negative factor.

Oh, another complicating factor is that many heterosexual men put a unnatural importance on the size of breasts (again supported by pornography and the media in general) which they then assumes applies to their own equipment as well.

    Hehehe Penises! Yay! :icon_bigg

As far as I'm concerned, there's so much more to a penis than its size. (First off, by size, are we meaning length or girth?)

Well, nobody really knows me here yet, to know that I'm an über-geek:eek:, but one of the side effects of that is I've started classifying penises. Yeah, I have this whole internal taxonomy. Things I notice, in roughly the order I notice them:

    Ratio of length to girth
Amount and direction of curve. (perfectly straight penises look odd...)
Shape of the glans. (Yes, they come in at least 3, maybe 6 shapes!)
How the shaft tapers. (thicker at the top, near the base, in the middle, etc)
    How much the skin moves.

Size shouldn't matter at all as long as both people are having fun

Ok, the virgin in the corner has a question. If it's not the size but the skill that's important, what's the skill? What is it that a skilled guy topping does that's better than a lesser skilled top?

I tend to think size is overrated and guys stress about it too much. To be cliche, it's how you use it that counts.

The most important skill for a top is patience. Far too many guys just try to shove it in and go to town, and that generally doesn't work very well. Prepping the bottom (with lubed fingers), taking your time inserting, waiting until he's totally used to you before starting - all this will make the experience far better for him.

The rest of the "skill" only comes with practice. Which position to be in. Knowing how (and when) to vary the speed and "angle of attack". Fast or slow. Whether to "reach around" or to "focus on the matter at hand". A bunch of other things. These things change from person to person, and can even change within the same person.

Don't stress out about all that, though. If you've got the patience, you're already way ahead of the game. The rest of it comes with practice, and half the fun is playing around in bed figuring it out.

And the most important skill of all: imagination.
