I came out to my dad, (he’s super homophobic), but he accepted, of all the people I thought he was gone to throw me out of the house or something like that. I want to come out to my mom but she’s extremely super homophobic, when she sees 2 girls or 2 boys kissing in TV she’s like.
M- “That TV show is encouraging teenagers your age that this is okay”
Me- “it’s okay mom, let them love whoever they want”
M- “they’re are confused, they don’t know what they want”
Me- “yes they do, they want to kiss, so let them kiss”
    So that’s my life

Sometimes parents don't realize exactly what they're saying/doing is about their own children as well. It's the mentality that "oh well it's not going to effect my children so whatever". I experienced this when I first found out my son is blind I really didn't want to deal with it. But I had to.
