Hey @SweetSoulJulia If you @ the username in your message, the person will get an alert. Eg. @Orchidea123
Also if you go to her profile you can write on her wall. You have to be a full member to send a private message but you can use the wall, as long as you don't mind the fact that other people can view the messages.
