Nudity, how shy are you?

The only person who's seen me naked in the last 15 years is my girlfriend. There are some friends I'm okay with changing my shirt or pants in front of, but not taking bra or underwear off.

 

Being naked at the doctor's doesn't bother me too much. I mean, it's awkward because I'm used to having clothes on when people see me, but I figure the doctor's seen it all before and really doesn't care what I look like.

In every other situation? I can't even take my shirt off. I'm really not that fit...I'm not "big," but I'm flabby, and I've got too much hair on my body. And those things really bother me.

 

I am shy :icon_redf, but when it came to medical procedures I had no choice, it just becomes clinical then :badgrin:

 

As for a doctor's office, I remember a cartoon in Mad Magazine (I think) where the doctor is saying: "When I push up, cough!" And the nude patient is saying, "How can I cough while I'm screaming?"

 

Omg!!! I am very shy when it comes to my body, I don't like to have people notice things about me and being naked in front of people would draw un wanted intention to it......duh!!! Like even in the summer I dont wear shorts because I don't want people looking at my legs. I even wear my cloths bigger most of the time for the same reason. I won't show my arms past my a bicep, I know I have a problem but its not anything you might think it is, LOL.

I do however feel better wearing less in when I'm close to home, like I can walk to the market with shorts on but I won't go any further.

 

What is too bad is how uncomfortable we can be with ourselves due to "imperfect" bodies. (And this has been an issue I've faced!)

I have sometimes thought of a guy I saw many years ago when I was in my 20s in a swimming pool locker room. I got a sense that he had body image issues. Understandable--he was frankly scrawny, and he was not equipped to be a porn star. But beyond that...put it this way: if I'd been willing to admit I was gay back then, and he wanted to date me, I'd have been more than willing to seriously consider the idea. No, his body wasn't impressive. But he seemed like a nice guy. And he sure did well with the body he had in some ways--I remember how good his swimming ability was.

 

I'm not shy at all. In fact, I'm a bit of an exhibitionist :icon_wink

 

My only problem with nudity is offending people with my hard on...nudity excites me lol

 

couple of months back I had a few days away on the coast with some gay mates One of the plans was to go to a nudest beach most of them were up for it having a dip in the sea so I went along . anyway we stayed there for about an hour once one of us striped off we all did i was naked for about half an hour rest of the time i had my towel around me .

 

I'm pretty shy, and I usually don't go around showing off. I've been in Japanese onsens where you have to be completely nude and it isn't too bad. I guess it helps when everyone else is nude too.
I'm also on the swim team and I'm not shy when I'm in a suit around fellow swimmers, but it's awkward when other non-swimmers come to the meet. -_-

 

I played highschool and college football. As a gay man in the locker room I had to become pretty comfortable with being naked in showers with alot of other masculine men. My football coach in highschool helped us get over the size and naked thing by saying "guys, it ain't the size of the ship, it's the motion of the ocean!" lol ;-)

 

I never undress with other people. The furthest I have ever gone is just boxers at my friends house. But I would definitely feel uncomfortable in my birthday suit around anyone save a partner.

 

I get shy when changing my cloths infront of people I know, but i'm okay with it in front of strangers

 

I'm not TOO shy with my body, but I don't think I could get straight up naked in front of people because I have self confidence issues.. er, down south, even though rationally I shouldn't be. But that's beside the point.

I normally have no problem being shirtless in front of other people, I'll change my shirt and/or pants in front of my friend and I did it effortlessly in the locker room, because if you finish first, you get to wait for everyone else to change ^_^

 

I hate getting naked for obvious reasons. However, I've recently discovered taking my shirt of in front of doctors isn't nearly so bad.

 

I would have assumed they got you completely naked for the surgery :O

 

This is absolutely hilarious. How and why did the football coach even broach this?
