Nick Carraway in The Great Gatsby. There's a scene in the book in which he meets a photographer at a party, suspicious commentary is made about them both being "artsy" types, they get on an elevator together and the photographer guy touches the elevator shaft conspicuously (no innuendo at all here). Somewhere along the line Nick notices that photographer dude has shaving cream on his face and feels the need to wipe it off. Then the next thing we know this guy is in his bed (shirtless, if memory serves?) with Nick by his side, showing him his works. I'm sure F. Scott Fitzgerald had a perfectly hetero reason for including this scene, which adds literally nothing in the way of plot, to the novel.

Kara and Lenas relationship in Supergirl. They have had a closer relationship than any couple in the show. Despite the fact both characters are straight their relationship is a little too close. If Alex and Maggies relationship had been half as intense the show would have been better.
