Well I'll be the one to start the thread on music. As stated on the "introduce yourselves" thread, I play the trombone, I started in 6th grade and continued to 12th. And I started back up here in Germany with the local town band. Myself I love playing in band it's a way of expression w/o words. Plus it's fun. 2 pagers are great, playing non-stop for a good 20 mins. On the other hand I listen to lots of hard rock, for the road oldies, jazz. You name it, I listen to it. Except for some country and some rap.
I'm a treky. Not one of those true ones who dresses up, but I enjoy good sci-fi programs. As of now the best comedy show on is Will and Grace. Thats my opinion. I can't decide between enterprise or stargate. But theres too many to choose from.

What do think, could you tell if a guy is gay by what he listens to or watches on the tube(TV)?

Well... I think somebody already beat ya to the music thread idea: http://emptyclosets.com/forum/showthread.php?t=177

But as for TV, I worship Jack Bauer from 24, whenever the show's on my away message says, "Watching my future husband in action." The thing is... I don't want to be with Keifer Sutherland (he's not so attractive in and of himself, IMO) but add the Jack Bauer persona... and *drool*.

Hrmm, what else? Oh. Family Guy. Definitely. I'm not exactly sure how I feel about this current season tho. Oh yeah! Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and anything on E!, the Discovery Channel, Discovery Health, the Food Network or HGTV... (yes, had to throw in something completely faggy for good measure.)

Hrmm... I'm also a bit of a news junkie... so a lot of the times I'll just be watching any of the 24-hour cable news shows when the NBC nightly news isn't on... wow... I've just realized how much time I waste in front of that stupid television... *goes and reads a book.*

Due to this television series, I know I'm at least bisexual, and not completely gay. I love the series Charmed - it's so farfetched: witches, demons, magic, but I love it because of Alyssa Milano - the "straight side" of me drools over her!

Otherwise, I don't watch a lot of tv, I mainly work, and practice music on my bari saxophone, and sing!

Still, you're right. It's possible to "love" a girl and not be "in love" with her... and think that female actresses are objectively "hot" without actually wanting to screw them... HAHAHA

Some people don't think you can... just like straight guys can't say that a male actor/friend/coworker, etc. is hot... but that's stupid.

    ~CK

And Alyssa Milano is hot. HAHAHAHAHA

I keep waiting for Charmed to actually be good... and I think I've waited long enough. I did love Shannen Doherty, though.

The same thing is true of Smallville, although at least Michael Rosenbaum can act. Allison Mack is probably the best part of that show.

I watch a lot of 1-hour dramas. I hate sitcoms. They're just so contrived and stupid.

I think this past season, Everwood, Veronica Mars, Battlestar Galactica, and The Dead Zone were my favourites, but I watch a lot more than that. I'm pretty eclectic: I watch sci-fi, "teen" shows, "adult" dramas... anything with good characters and great acting. And aforementioned "guilty pleasures" which I'm going to give up because they just don't compare to the rest of what I watch.

I'm really mad at CBS for cancelling Joan of Arcadia and Judging Amy! Bad CBS!

And One Tree Hill should get kudos for creating a somewhat believable bisexual Latina character, although of course she was written off once she'd come to terms with her sexuality. And Jack & Bobby tackled gay teen suicide, and relatively well, along with gay uncles. *grin*
