I love Beautiful Thing, because in general it's just a very sweet little story about two teenage boys falling in love. Not particularly deep, a little angst but not much--basically a positive message delivered in a pleasant, fluffy sort of way. I think of it as a good "sit on the couch cuddling with your sweetie" kind of movie.

Beautiful Thing is so cute. I saw the stage play in London last year.

While it is not really a gay movie I also liked Cowboys and Angels.

Tho I usually drawn into interesting stories so angst or drama doesn't effect me much.

Boy Culture kinda free from drama to an extend. It follows rules of your everyday Romantic Comedy.

If you feel for a more realistic take I like Between Love and Goodbye and for reflecting many facades of gay life Strapped, even the movie itself is fantastic in story, are good movies.

Movie is good. Became too sad when mixed with my memories.

It is definitely in my favorite LGBT movies tho'.

Glad you liked it. I have a hard time watching the end but it is a lovely film. I do like the ending but it is sad. I cried when I watched it the two characters are so lovely together.

Yeah they are very interesting characters. One think I appreciate is giving viewer somethings to ponder after credits roll. Weekend gave me many things to juggle in my head about being gay, gay's view thru straights etc.

Hmmm I wonder which is the my favorite couple from movies... Russ and Glen are okay but I don't check them twice if I saw them on street.

Did you not think that they were good looking. I don't fancy boys but I thought they were a nice looking couple. I wish I could meet someone to fall in love with like they did

weekend (2011) really fits the bill. It captures that saying, you'll find him when you're not really looking.

I LOVE this movie, Shelter, but then I'm a sucker for a romance. ;-)

    Shelter (2007) - IMDb

Lots of clips of this movie. On YouTube. I actually bought the DVD ... Have not done that in a long time.

It's truly a story of self discovery, self acceptance, falling in love, standing up for yourself.

I'd like a script like this in my life!

I agree with this one completely! My GF and I watched it together. She had already seen it many times, but I loved seeing it with her. The story feels real - and though part of the storyline - the sexuality is secondary.

Yup, Shelter is very good and very rare happy ending gay movie.

Hmm I must watch this as well then.

While we are at it, can our lesbian sisters give me name of couple good lesbian movies... I mean the ones not done for feeding straight male fantasies.

So far I only watched A Marine Story.

They are looking okay but not traffic stoppers for me. For example when I first saw Russell Tovey on Doctor Who Xmas special, I felt like I punched hard in the gut. He has everything to fan my flames, quirky (big ears), cute, manly and clean cut. :icon_redf

Ha ha yeah I am blushing while typing those. :roflmao:

I'd like to see an action movie with a gay lead... (man or woman action heroes can be both!)
I've never seen any books focused on gay characters that wasn't love or something pertaining to that.
They were suggested to me so...
Maybe to read a story in which a young lady goes on a great mission to save her girlfriend, murdering many evil people with a magical martial art, I'll have to write it myself...

You might want to check Young Avengers from Marvel Comics. Two members of this supergroup is gay (and they are super cute). I don't know what series current state but you can probably find old issues in TPB.

Young Avengers - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

And of course there is Alex Woolfson and his team making gay themed action comics. Artifice was sci-fi story. Young Protectors is super hero story about young gay hero.

The Young Protectors: Engaging The Enemy - Title and Credits

Other than those, if... yes very big if... I can make my webcomics you can read them as well.

Of course I did. I like that movie but not because of Russell but songs.

Also watched whole first season of Being Human UK and Him and Her.

He is a talented actor, awesome person and very handsome... my number 1 gay celebrity.

Aaand I might have a little crush on him. :rolle:
