LGBT News Mortal Kombat introduces first gay character

damn I already love this franchise and this will make me love even more. I plan on buying the Komplete edition when it comes out. Usually only comes out 4 to 6 months later.

Movies and TV shows are showing gay characters to promote anti homophobia. But now, games are starting to introduce gay characters! This is a good sign! Slowly, homophobia will cease to exist (I hope)!

 

Huh...while I appreciate the inclusion of LGBT character...I don't know if making a more human character in a game where everyone else is a walking stereotype that mutilate each other in the most horrific way is a good idea.

 

Actually, they've been trying to be more balanced this time around. They even reduced the size of the female characters' busts to be more realistic. They're still big, generally speaking, but not to ridiculous proportions.

 

Awww Mortal Kombat I didn't expect you to have a gay character. This is super nice that some of the games are introducing gay characters in games and generally in gaming the gay characters won't be entirely stereotypical, so it's a great way to help people realize that we aren't all flamboyant flaming diva boys.

 

Exactly. Best gay guy ever in a game was Bill in The Last of Us.

 

When I read the title I was worried it was going to be a fan service female character, but this sounds awesome ♡ I love MK so I'm glad they're branching out with character development ^.^

That has always been why I preferred the likes of Street Fighter, Tekken and Soul Calibur. Whilst still quite stereotypically presented, the characters in the latter are a lot less "faceless".

Plus Voldo FTW. Isn't he implied to be a gay character too, or at least quite asexual? Either way, I love his moves.

 

Many in my local scene are on the MKX bandwagon, I don't like gory stuff so past the original I've been apprehensive to learn it competitively.

That and I tried mk9 and didn't like though, though this entry is better so far.

Might have to breakdown and get it now.

 

I agree with Voldo being awesome in Soul Calibur. His moves are pretty funny and I love the moves for that reason

 

He's awesome. You have to play Edge Master and hope that he randomly gets Voldo's skill set. Watching him do Voldo's moves is so funny :lol:

 

This is so awesome. I myself am not a mortal combat fan but it is sure progressive.

Now if we can gay relationships in a decent TV console "Harvest Moon" game then we'll be really progressive!

 

This is pretty cool, even though I've never played Mortal Kombat.

 

Or y'know, just create your own character and give him or her Voldo's move set.
