Something that I forgot to add in my first post is understanding the concept of "privilege". The concept of social privilege is not the way a society views a type of person or demographic. Social privilege occurs when the prejudice or stereotypes surrounding a demographic causes them to be hindered within their society in comparison to someone of another group.

For instance, an American visiting a foreign country and being judged or stereotyped because of their nationality is not nationality based privilege. It is not a mindset that should be encouraged as it is based on negative stereotypes, but it is not privilege. Privilege is when a certain demographic is appointed a luxury for being of that demographic.

The stereotypes of people of color being more degrading than stereotypes of Caucasians is not "White Privilege". The prosecution rates of minorities in comparison to the prosecution rates of Caucasian is "White Privilege". The appointing of a Caucasian over a minority in the workforce for appearance alone is "White Privilege". Negative mindsets need to be removed from all sections of the LGBTQ community in various ways, but the existence of a certain mindset in one subgroup and not another is not an example of privilege within our community for a privilege has not been appointed.
