I went to the bookstore yesterday to get two books that someone recommended to me, completely unrelated to this forum. The clerk who helped me was wearing a rainbow lanyard, A pin with the trans colors, and a pronoun pin. I asked them if those were their pronouns. They said yes and we started chatting briefly and I said that I was a part of the LGBTQ community. That was the first time I have ever spoken about it in public and to a complete stranger. Granted, it was a pretty safe bet to talk to them, but still it was a rush for something so small.
It's great that you were able to reveal you are a part of the community during your chat with the bookstore employee. It shows just how comfortable you are with yourself.
bsg75apollo.....I've had just a few experiences were something like that happened. It's such a wonderful feeling to be able to be completely open! .....David
That's really lovely to hear, very happy to hear that... moments like that make it a lot less abstract, and a lot more real!
Very cool! It is so refreshing to be able to openly speak to someone about this, isn't it! I am so happy for you.
Good for you! I can imagine how great the feeling must have been afterwords, that's not an easy thing to do!
