All by N. Takaya: For every (LGBT) child who wants to be accepted wholly and loved unconditionally, there are others who simply want to be accepted for who they are, even if they receive only a fraction of love. I don't think one cancels out the other. If it's possible for us(LGBT) to be hurt by another person, then it's possible for us(LGBT) to be healed by someone else. They say that we should love ourselves first before other people learn to love us; but sometimes, we need someone to love and accept us first. Because then we would see ourselves through that person's eyes and learn to love ourselves. This one is probably the most truthful for us LGBT people.
