    I think ManShep is a better renegade...that kinda flat affect he has works for renegade. Makes what he says kind of funnier because his default tone is deadpan.

    In DA, I like the male and female versions of the warden/Hawke equally. In the second game, both voice actors did a good job. And DA:O is text-based, so...
    It's pretty much entirely based off the voice actors for me.

    I personally prefer Femshep's voice actor but I thought both were really good :slight_smile:

    I'm split. Manshep gives me the chance to romance Tali (one of my favourite characters ever) in ME2, while Femshep is voiced by Jennifer Hale. Jennifer... Freakin'... Hale...

    I have done full playthrous with renegade and paragon Male Shepard and Female Shepard.

    I have noticed:
    Male Shepard is not a good renegade in ME1, but pretty good in the other 2
    Female Shepard, however, is solid as renegade through 1, 2, and 3
    Female Shepard's voice gets significantly better in ME2 and 3
    Male Shepard's voice acting is mediocre at best
    Female Shepard can romance Garrus omg like if turians were real I would date one
    Male Shepard can romance Tali which is cool
    I like seeing Femshep blow stuff up
    It's also cool seeing Mshep blow stuff up
    Femshep's customization options seem more real
    Mshep's customization never looks quite real
    I usually play as Mshep, even though overall, I think Femshep is better

    Femsheps voice fits renegade and paragon although i've never really played as paragon, but the parts that i have were good.
    Malesheps voice is kinda bland to me, lts like meer isn't even trying.

    Also why the hell can't i romance garrus as maleshep why? I don't like cortez or carth ummm i mean kaidan.

    both i have 6 different shepards i play with 3 male 3 female. i like the differences in how they both act(voice acting) also so i can use different classes in all of them.

    I JUST bought the triology so I'm going to avoid reading the thread for spoilers, trying to do that 1st hostage mission where the biotic terrorists kidnapped the Senator. I'm playing female.

    I really like that I can have female love interests. I heard that the male version can't have male love interests though :frowning2: Hope that's not true. That's kind of stupid if it is IMO.

    Male x male love interests were introduced in the 3rd one, and I like how they treated that aspect, very matter of fact and with little fanfare, just like any other kind of love interest. Hope that doesn't spoil too much, will mention no names.

    And FemShep all the fucking way. Have never played as male Shepard and probably never will (no incentive or desire to play any Ass Effect game again).

    Femshep is Bestshep! Mostly it's 'cause all of the NPCs actually treat me like a woman 'cause they have to. So it makes me feel better when stuff sucks.

    Femshep, no question.

    Jennifer Hale really sells the voice of female Shepard compared to Mark Meer voicing the male counterpart.
