I feel so lucky that's not me.

 

Sad indeed, but it's also inspirational I think, because these women don't let their society stop them from living the live they want to live despite it being harder!

 

Damn, it's a shame they have to go through all the extra trouble just to get a little respect, at least they're working on ways to be themselves regardless of the masses.

Quite kind to help others as well, I'm often too worried about saving my own skin when it comes to this.

 

That's really sad.

 

I could definitely relate to how these women feel growing up. If I had stayed at home I would've ended up having to marry some guy that I didn't want also. At least though they get to lead their own lives, living with the person they love, instead of with someone who considers them nothing but someone to fulfill their sexual needs and bear and raise their children.

 

Terribly sad, but at least there is a slight bit of happiness to their story in that both the lesbian and gay couple can continue their relationships whilst minimising the discrimination from wider society for being single or gay.

The part where the girl's own mother describes her as "not pretty" in front of her is just devastating.

 

A friend told me about some Island in Asia where women are born and bred specifically to be sold of as brides. Mainly in China and then in other countries. :S
