Hi community. I am wondering how you found local support or help with coming out, changing your life etc.

I recently came out to only my husband, he is in panic mode and I have no clue how to proceed. I really want to be able to speak to someone in person or find a counselor who can help me but I don't know how to find these people. Ideas?

I was really fortunate that I was able to see a good councillor through school when I was in university. However, I realize that probably is not the case for you.

The Canadian Councilling & Psychotherapy Association seems to have a search to find certified councillors here:
    https://www.ccpa-accp.ca/find-a-canadian-certified-counsellor/

Its a pain to dig through the results, but googling can be your friend. Googling (Location LGBT support) may be helpful, and also could help you see if the councillor you had in mind has good reviews online
