I'm confused on the terms because I thought they meant the same thing but now I 'm think there a little different or maybe the old term lipstick lesbian is old and femme is better and new but are they both different or the same ? Must a lipstick lesbian wear make up all the time I wear make up sometimes and go natural most of the time but I love make up can someone explain this to me how they are different ?
Here is one interpretation I found: Label Me Lesbian: A Guide to Types of Lesbians by mayahuskee on deviantART (just scroll down to "lipstick lesbian" and "femme")
I have that saved under my bookmarks, it's a good guide. Now, if you'd excuse me... (sorry, it's April Fools' and I wanted to go all out)
I guess I lost my gold star last year By this guide I'm a hasbian "A hasbian is a woman who used to identify as a lesbian and date women, but is now dating men." and "A term meaning a lesbian who now partakes in heterosexual activities. However, it does not mean that a woman has CHANGED her sexual orientation, that is something which does not change. She may however have changed her sexual behavior or identity. The woman may truly be straight and have previously been questioning, or the woman may have been a lesbian who has retreated into the closet, or the woman may be bisexual, omnisexual or something else of that nature but by no means can a person change their orientation." So my this definition I've been bisexual all along and just didn't know it, although I'm not strictly dating men, I'm dating a particular man.
I think your a lesbian with an exception sldanlm I think you'll be bisexual if you have attraction to other men as well , but this same thing happens to straight men and women not all but some . ---------- Post added 1st Apr 2014 at 02:19 PM ---------- Yeah they sound the same .
I guess I'm more of a blue jeans. I love clothes and what nots, but I don't necessarily favor skirts or dresses, though I do still wear them. I was confused about the difference between the two, also, so I'm glad that's been cleared up.
Same here, more of a jeans girl than dresses or skirts. I like to be comfortable more often than fashionable, but I have my moments.
I'm definitely a blue jeans femme. Too feminine to be a Chapstick lesbian but not feminine enough to be just a femme. I'm a jeans and t-shirts girl but I looooove my make up and perfume ;P
Thanks for that. When my guy friend skyped me tonight, I acted like I was mad at him, told him it was his fault that I lost my gold star, and am now a hasbian. He looked real confused and said "Your a has been?"
Easy difference: Us Femmes date Butch women, only. We don't date feminine looking women. We are nto attracted to them at all like that. We love female masculinity.(think KD Lang) Lipsticks date feminine women. They don't date Butches. They only date girls that look like girly gals. They usually look like two friends when they go out with a date, because they are both what society thinks is feminine.
Well you see when I was in elementary school I was pretty popular around the young boys and they would look under my skirt and even wait til a big wind blew so they can see my panties in the summer time one even yelled at me to show me your panty ( I didn't ) but one day a really Big wind came my skirt raised up and all the guys saw my panty and it was embarrassing for me , for weeks they kept talking about my panties and I had this yellow that had a flower shape in the back and boy did they talk about it it was so bad I felt ashamed for days after that I only wore skirts if my mom made me but now I only wear pants since that incident . ---------- Post added 1st Apr 2014 at 06:40 PM ---------- Lol your always welcome to come back Sldanlm I will not judge you hun ---------- Post added 1st Apr 2014 at 06:42 PM ---------- I'm sticking with lipstick then I don't date butch chicks . but there are femmes that don't date butch either this is confusing ok lipstick it is I'm switching between the two when i feel to use one or the other .
I'm sorry, but you couldn't be any more wrong. Being a lipstick or femme lesbian has absolutely NOTHING to do with what type of women you're attracted to. I consider myself a tomboy-ish femme, somewhere in between femme and chapshick, and I'm not attracted to butches at all. If you're a femme who likes butches, that doesn't mean that ALL femmes have to like them. Please don't force the butch/femme stereotype on us. From the research that I did on these terms, I'll try to explain what they mean. Femme lesbian: a femmine lesbian. Lipstick lesbian: a femmine lesbian who wears makeup all the time, or almost all the time. To make this short and sweet: all lipsticks are femmes, but not all femmes are lipsticks. Kinda like how all peanuts are nuts, but not all nuts are peanuts.
