This song isn't explicitly about gays and the band probably didn't even have it in mind but I think it's applicable nonetheless

    (I interpret them that way)

"All you leave behind" (Paradise Lost)
    About accepting one's sexuality:
    On and on abstain
    All the more suppression
    On and off with strain
    All the more deception
    Let the sin go
    Let the sin go
    For all you leave behind
    Let the sin go
It's all a state of mind

    "True colors" (Cyndi Lauper)
    I see your true colors
And that's why I love you
So don't be afraid to let them show
    Your true colors
    True colors are beautiful,
    Like a rainbow

"Relax"-Frankie Goes to Hollywood. It's about a male ejaculation and has homoerotic themes. When I was younger I had no idea what the song was about until I got older I knew what it was.

I was at a bar and talking to a guy and he was clueless what the song was about until I told him.

Sleepover by Hayley Kiyoko, honestly just Hayley Kiyoko in general.
Some florence and the machine songs... arent gay specifically but they arent gendered so you could totally gay them up if you want to. Like Howl and Drumming Song.

I only want to be with you - Alix Dobkin. Originally done by Dusty Springfield (60's). She came out as bisexual.

was about to name all of these songs! Also, Sleepover by Hayley Kiyoko, technically it doesn't have to be gay, but the music video is SUPER GAY and I love it!!

Also, "All The Girls Love Alice" by Elton John. Personally, I like the Emeli Sande cover better then the original.

They're not specifically aimed at the LGBTQ community, but 2 songs I recommend.

I Will Not Bow - Breaking Benjamin
    Liberate - Disturbed

Listen to Jann Arden or KD Lang. Both Canadian artists. Especially KD Lang' s "Constant cravings".

@junebug99 Constant Cravings has to be one of my all time favorites!

There was a more recent song. It might have been posted already, but I think it is called "First time I kissed a Boy." It was pretty catchy

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet but "4 Men" and "Breathing Fear" by Kitchens Of Distinction have major gay themes (and the lead singer is openly gay!)
