    I did...

I really enjoyed it, and could identify with it (besides some of the craziness).

Limina is not released yet, but it's a short film about a genderfluid child  I'm excited for this movie, because one of the main cast is my favourite actress and also, this movie look really good ^^

Kill Your Darlings isn't exactly a 'gay movie', but it is a great film that has a great gay relationship within it. I'd also say the same about Brideshead Revisited, which isn't as good as the TV show but is still a pretty solid movie in my opinion.

The only other gay movie I've seen is But I'm A Cheerleader and I found it painfully unfunny, but I'd just put that down to my different sense of humor.
Also both of the main characters are super hot. That alone is worth watching it for.

Boys, a little Dutch film about two Dutch teenagers on the same running team. It was nice.

I recently saw 4th Man Out, a movie that came out this year. It was a great story about a young man coming out to his 3 closest friends and how they all react to the news. It was especially fun for me since a lot of it is filmed in my local area and has many landmarks I'm familiar with. In one scene the friends go with him to his first gay bar. It is filmed at a bar I go to at least once a week, also the first gay bar I ever went to.

I'm not sure if this counts, but A Sinner in Mecca. He's gay so I think it counts. A documentary about an out, gay Muslim man who embarks on the hajj and documents how the Wahhabist rule in Saudi Arabia contradicts the true, accepting nature of Islam.

It was quite an uncomfortable watch, but it has answered a few of my questions about Islam and homosexuality. And confirmed my thoughts on Saudi Arabia.

I find it interesting that nobody is talking about "As Good as it Gets".

If you're unfamiliar, it's about a bigot (misogynist, homophone, and general asshole) who learns to not be those things. It's hilarious and heartwarming as s***, and features some really strong performances.

The hero of the story is a cis-gendered straight white male. The gay character in the movie is a supporting role, so maybe that's why it's not a popular movie here? I don't know, I'm just speculating. That being said, I do highly recommend it.

And, of course I'm curious to hear other people's opinion on this movie. Is there something I'm missing?

From what I've read on it, it sounds like it could be interesting. My only worry is that the message is simply "Don't be bigoted." I'm not a big fan of movies that exist to preach to the choir.

GBF - an alright cheesy teenage high school movie
Gayby - alright not not the best
Boy Meets Girl - I loved this one!
Anatomy of a Love Seen - I really thought I'd like this one but I didn't finish watching it. I might try again another time

Better than Chocolate is my favourite movie of all time. (*cough* know it word for word *cough*) Freeheld is a close second. I also enjoyed elena undone, room in rome, blue is the warmest colour, pariah, jenny's wedding, tru love, a marine story and cloudburst. I also love Juno, obviously not an LGBT movie but Ellen Page... *heart eyes*!

For me, I could never quite watch any of the older LGBT movies, I really love the new modern ones though. I'll give my list.

Boys/Jongens (my all time favourite, left me with such emotion after it that I had to go lie down and sleep)
    The Way He Looks
    Brokeback Mountain (n-no, I didn't cry)
Closet Monster (not out yet but holy shit the trailer is amazing, I've got it pre-ordered [there's a trailer at the top of this page])
    Boy Meets Girl
Fourth Man Out (i was expecting the cliche with this)
    The Weekend
Girl, Interrupted (not exactly an LGBT movie but it had features in it, but doubleplus for Angelina Jolie!)
Perks of Being a Wallflower (this movie really helped me realise who I was)

The Matthew Shepherd Story (Shane Meier/Stockard Channing tv movie....I bawled my eyes out), Prayers for Bobby (also bawled my eyes out), Brokeback Mountain, and Stonewall.
