I'm not familiar with Kansas City personally, but searching around on google appears to produce a variety of results pretty quickly. What organization you want might depend on what you're looking for. Since you mention that you're just starting driving, I'm assuming (perhaps wrongly, and apologies if so) that you're in your teens - if that's the case, Kansas City Passages appears to be an organization devoted to serving LGBT youth. Might be a good place to start!
