    Hello!

I am learning Front End, and later I want to also master back end. But first the Front End. Do I consider learning Photoshop first as well ? And what kind of portfolio things I can create to show off what I can do? Like a mini game with Javascript ? Or just very flashy site ?

Any tips ? About what I asked or in general ?

I might be late, but late better than never, as they say...

Depends if yo uwould want to work with it or not. If you like it, then go for it.

Anything that you make and works will do. If you have too many things in your portfolio already, leave the ones you consider best.

Tips. Start with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and related technologies. It's the very front and easy to approach.
Then if you want to learn something more, you can learn PHP and SQL. It's more on the back end and used in website development.

Design and development are really two separate paths. Definitely learn both if you're interested, but I wouldn't put Photoshop near the top of your to-do list for development. As a front-end developer, it's possible you'll have to implement designs that are given to you in PSDs, but in that case you won't need to know too much beyond isolating the different components you're working on. If you're teaching yourself, I would recommend finding a page you like and try to implement it from scratch, starting with HTML/CSS and then vanilla JavaScript for any dynamic elements. Learn the basics before going to advanced frameworks like Angular, React, Vue, etc.

Edit: doh, didn't realize this was an old thread.
