I finished Siddhartha by Herman Hesse the day before yesterday, for the third time this year. Almost done with The Red Pony by John Steinbeck, too. Has anyone read Shogun, by James Clavell? I'm considering getting a copy and reading it, but I've heard a lot of mixed reviews about it. Some say it's the best book they've ever read, some say it's the worst book they've ever read, but opinion is essentially split down the middle, and I don't wanna buy a 1,200 page novel that's gonna take up loads of room on my shelf and never reading it.
