Just your opinion. Do you wash clothes/bedclothes before using them? I need something to stop my mother from killing me when I waste power tomorrow washing the new covers I’ll rip off my bed. I bought them but said I wouldn’t use them until I washed them, went away for a few days and they are on my bed. My mother claims no one washes new things first. Two aunts claim they do.

It's hit or miss for me.

Who knows how many people touched (or tried it on, for clothes) before you bought it, and what chemicals are involved in processing & transporting it. I wish I could tell you I tell you wash it all before using, but I don't. I think it's completely fair though.

^^ Also want to add that most people don't know the specific processes on how clothes are made, or the regulations that the producing country has (not that i do). If my clothes are getting sprayed with moth-repellant before getting bagged and shipped, don't want that on my clothes lol

I tend to wash new things first. I never know if I will react to some thing that they were processed with.

Yes, always. Like others have said, you don't know what chemicals were used in production or shipping, and you don't know if anyone has touched them. I wash everything before use, alone to make sure the color isn't going to bleed. It feels like a waste of water but I very rarely buy new things so the impact is tiny.

Bed sheets, towels and under wear/sleep wear get washed before use. Jeans and coats I usually just wear.

Always wash first, in the boring(?) majority.
