Both and neither, I guess. And at the same time.

Very much introverted. Sometimes I go a couple of days without talking to *anyone* in person and I hardly notice. Having the internet does help, though.

I'm an extrovert. I've come to appreciate being by myself, but it's still something that I have to endure. The internet is a boon to extroverts too! I can keep in touch with my long-distance friends and satisfy my social needs even when I can't meet anyone.

Yes it is! Shyness can be due to a lot of things. It is just as possible to be a sociable and friendly introvert.

Ambivert is a new term to me, but after looking it up, I think that's me. I like being with people, but they can tend to tire me out or annoy me. I then want to be alone, but I start to feel lonely and need human interaction. I like being around people, but I also like being alone.

I took the Meyers Briggs test and scored as an introvert. I am not shy but I like lots of time to myself. Privacy is something I need periodically.

Introverted to the extreme but not so introverted with someone I know better and can be myself with.

Really?? On a forum packed full of gay people only 11% are extroverts?!

If you're in a room with me you certainly know it!

Introvert, hands down. I'm not as introverted as possible, but being antisocial and shy/socially anxious makes it seem that way.

Very much an extrovert. Friends joke that you hear me before you see me. Runs in the family.

Really introverted and every mbti test I take, it comes up with INFJ which I think is true although I don't think I'm a special snowflake since according to the mbti it is a rare personality especially for men.

Somewhere in between. I can be quite shy & introverted but can also turn on my charm & people skills. A night in playing guitar or reading a book sounds equally as appealing as going to a party.

I used to think I was extroverted, but I think I lean more toward ambiverted. I think it's more like 80% extroverted, 20% introverted. I love to talk and make friends, but sometimes I just wanna go home and relax and get away from people.

I can definitely say I'm mostly an extrovert. I'm not at all shy around people, unless I find them extremely attractive.

I've thought about this a lot. I'm pretty sure I'm an introvert. Sometimes I talk before I think and I can be surprisingly forward. Still, I NEED my alone time. I can read non-fiction books for several days and not talk to a single soul. But sooner or later I need to talk to people or I feel more crazy than usual.

Beyond small talk, I seem to fall into some sort of advisor role. I'm trying to be more empathic, rather than just telling people what to do and why they should do it. I think that's still quite introverted because it's 1 on 1. Unfortunately, sometimes I end up getting involved, for various reasons. Usually because it's the best way to guarantee that a plan will work.

    Introvert.

After a while I want to get out and invite friends to do stuff....then once it happens I can only handle it for so long till I need time alone again.

I would say I'm an introvert, (mostly). There are days where being with friends or around people really drain the life out of me and then I go into hiding for like 3 days. Being alone can help me relax and recharge more then always being around someone.

With that said I am shy, but it's not because I'm an introvert.

Results of this poll don't surprise me one bit. People on the internet tend to be introverted.

As for me, I am a very strong introvert lol. Part of having Aspberger's as well.
