My teacher just brought up my dead best friend and how he shot himself. I'm like really upset he's been dead for almost like 3 years maybe 4. I'm just really missing him right now. He was my everything. The reason why he killed himself tho was because he had bullied a kid that day and told our teachers about it and they thought he was joking because he was such a sweet kid and did nothing wrong and was like never depressed. I wish he was here to tell everyone why he really did it because I just don't think he would have killed himself if there was another way to go about it. I didn't know he killed himself until I came back from my dad's house.

Why did your teacher bring up your best friend's death by suicide?

I'm glad you shared your feeling about this here. Whenever someone dies, there are a lot of feelings to deal with. Is there someone at your school you can talk to about how you are feeling?

    We're here for you, GraceMiamor.

Hi there, I wonder if your teacher realised the impact of bringing up the death of your friend could have on others. Sometimes, we say things not realising that they have an emotianal impact on someone else. How would you feel about mentioning to your teacher on how you feel?

Have you also had a chance to speak with someone after you became aware of what happened?

Hi there, with whom did you try to speak about it?

And how come no one likes you to talk about it?

I'm really sorry that your teacher bringing it up has had such a negative impact. Is it the same teacher as the one you mention being upset as well? What was the context of her bringing him up?

It sounds to me like no malice was intended; perhaps like you, your teacher is still working through the grief (which, sadly, can last a very long time for some) and likely didn't think about who else might be impacted by her words. Perhaps you should talk to your parents about seeing a therapist? Or maybe talk to a grief counsellor at your school? I think talking with a professional would go a long way towards helping you work through not only your grief, but through the triggers as well.

Hi there, I think it's good you brought it up and like BiGemeni87, I too wonder if you have had to chance to speak with a counsellor/therapist about the death and how you are feeling about it.

Fron what you have mentioned it looks like you are still trying to process it, come to terms with it.

Could you elaborate on it? How come you feel she doesn't know what it's like losing someone?
