    Is it rude to get there early, get your drink, find a table and wait for them? Or should you wait to get your drink with them?
    I only ask because I would feel less awkward getting there first, getting my drink and already being seated when they arrive, but I don't want to appear rude.

    There's nothing wrong with ordering your drink immediately if you are meeting someone. I usually do that then once that some arrive I will immediately ask him/her if s/he wants something.
