    Usually, I post a vid with what I'm listening to, but the song is pretty damned explicit so I won't this time.

    Why? Because my neighbor is blaring it so loud you can surely hear it from a couple blocks away.

    First Day Of My Life by Bright Eyes
    ~ "I'm glad I didn't die before I met you" :heart: I've had this exact thought so many times, for different people...not to get too dark but I tried to drown myself after a mental breakdown when I was fifteen years old, I'm so grateful that I wasn't successful sometimes.

    And as I was typing, the song ended and Among The Wildflowers by The Hotelier started playing. I know this song is supposed to be sad but it makes me happy-cry (especially the conversation at the end, it really spoke to me at the time...) because I first heard it when I really felt like I was falling in love with someone for the first time. Really morbid but anyway...

    It seems to be about being suffocated by someone you're in love with since they are abusive. Not physically, but emotionally, verbally, etc.
