I came out as lesbian.... bit of advice please

    Hi
    I came out to everyone i know and it went really well. My only concern is i want to be in relationship with a woman but some women are put off saying that i need more experience or that i should see others first. Is this always the case or would you accept a newly out lesbian? It's just totally s**t.

    Well, I wouldn't generalise and say that is the case for all Lesbians. I guess it comes down to preferences. I'm sure they do not mean to offend you when they say those things. When you first come out there are all sorts of new emotions, thoughts etc.

    Cml.....Relationships don't usually appear out of nowhere just as soon as you come out. Even if you did run into someone that you really like it takes time to get to know each other before you could really call it a relationship. As you wrote; "some women are put off" which means that some women aren't! :old_smile: Be patient...go places where you can meet people like yourself. Be friendly and enjoy yourself. People are attracted to a person who is happy and easy to be around. Be that person and you will find others who will be interested in you!

    Hey I think there are women that are put off by that but in my book the kind of person that is put off by that isn't the kind of person I want to be with anyway. There are plenty of women who wouldn't be.

    Well keep those cats on standby as you haven’t given yourself lots of time to find a lovely partner yet! All relationships happen virtually by chance and yours will come as long as you put yourself out there as your true self, just be you and have fun and someone will be drawn to you.

    Try not to worry about being inexperienced. I was inexperienced too when I came out. When you meet the right girl, she will like you so much that she’ll be excited to explore with you! She won’t hold your inexperience against you.
