How old we're you when you discovered your attraction to the same sex?

This is similar to me. Although, I never had any crushes or paid much attention to my sexual attraction before I found out and fully discovered it (age 16).

I described it like this (which my friend found amusing), explaining why it took me until 16 to realize my homosexuality: I had the hardware, but lacked the software.

 

Probably around... 10 or 11? I noticed that, for some reason, I had gained this admiration for the male body and anatomy. It never really occurred to me I was gay, though - I still thought I was straight, back then, despite having these fantasies begin to creep up in my mind. I kept convincing myself that it was because I respected women too much and didn't want to look at them sexually. Having a heavily media-based life growing up, though, that probably didn't help things.

 

Tbh.. started wondering about it when I was 18... yet had inklings earlier in middle school and highschool

but didn't really understand until I was 20 or 21.

 

I can remember that as early as age 8 or 9 that I knew I seemed 'different'... When I was 12 I explored my sexuality with my male cousin. When I was 14 I realized that I was probably gay. At 19 I experienced sex with a man for the first time. At 51 I am admitting that I am gay publicly.

It's a long answer... But it's a muti-faceted question when you think about it...

 

I kissed my first boy in second grade and totally loved it. I always liked boys, but never really officially came out. I began seeing a guy romantically when I was 17 but hid the relationship. Now I'm ready to come out.

 

For the first time, when I was 8 (I began to collect some photo of the top model Megan Gale, and I noticed I was very attracted by her).

After, I dreamt making love with a girl, and I frequent excited looking nude women, so I said to myself "Dude, you're ginosexual!"

 

I was preschool. Guess I was like 6yrs old then . . . hmmm? Yeah that sounds about right.

 

I was 11 when I discovered my attraction to the male gender, I kissed many boys from the age of 6+ but just thought it was normal until I was Twelveish and I had many secret boyfriends until I was 17 I publicly came out to everyone.

 

I started having boy crushes (at least, the earliest I can remember) in seventh grade, so around 12-13.

 

I was around five and had an unusual idolization with my karate teacher. Also, I was obsessed with Josh Duhamel from Transformers but I couldn't really explain why. Now it's all so apparent..

 

The first time a girl kissed me was when I was 15. With my second girlfriend we did more things. By the time I was 18 I was doing most sexual things, but only same sex. Guys didn't interest me sexually at all at the time.

 

Probably 10 or 11 . I would get a tingly feeling when I watched John Snider on the Dukes of Hazard. A few years later I had a best friend whom I always wanted to try stuff with but never did

 

I realized that something was different at about 9 or 10, really cranking up those thoughts at about 11 or 12. I finally accepted it at 14 and began coming out at 15, and am still in that process.

 

It was around 14-15 years of age for me.

 

I subconsciously knew that I was attracted to girls since 10, but I only just realized (in the middle of 7th grade, last year) that I did actually liked girls. So, this year in April. :icon_bigg

 

Erm, when I googled gay porn...

 

I've known since age 13, but it didn't come clear or apparent until I was 19. Lived in semi-denial of my attraction to the ladies most of my teenage years, and right up until I was maybe 22. What made me finally confront it was a straight crush I developed on a girl I had in four of my classes. But it was pretty obvious, with my crushes on older celebrity women, me being drawn to my female teachers(later realized I was totally crushing on them when I found a poem I wrote about them wishing people would see them the way I do). And I never really talked about guys except for the friendship sense, and had little to no interest in them. Even now, I'm still coming to accept myself, but it will take time for sure.

 

Feelings started at 12.
Started accepting it at 21.

 

I think I was about 10 when I started having mixed emotions about boys. At 12 I kissed a guy for the first time. Then I went through a phase where I was scared to be gay so I dated girls till I was 18. Now I'm 20 and wishing I just stayed with guys. It would make coming out so much easier

 

Rampant curiosity gave way to actual attraction around 15 or so, and it feels like it's only gotten stronger since then.
