    Hi -

My doctor has replaced my klonopin with gabapentin to help me when I am having a rough time.

    I'm taking 600MG 6 times a day.

How exactly does this medication work?

Gabapentin is a medication that acts upon one of the types of receptors in nerve endings. The receptor is one that tends to have a calming effect. Because of this, gabapentin is used for various conditions like nerve-based pain, epilepsy, mania-type disorders, etc.
