I;m talking about male to female surgery, ofcourse.

How did U guys gather the finances necessary for all then suergeries.
    I;m just curious.

They say, that in my country, the bottom surgery, affirmation, is sponsored by the governemt.
But, when asked a nurse about it, she knew nothing about it.

So, how did u guys gather the funds necessary for the surgery...

Hi Alinaaethena, well I haven't had any surgery done yet - it takes a long time just to get to the point where that's a discussion to be had!

But my answer is predictable. I'm old (54). People in my life have died - my mother and partner, to be precise - and as a result I will have inheritances to draw upon for surgery. And I will probably have to go down the route of private health. I've now been waiting for three and a half years for my first appointment at an NHS Gender Identity Clinic.

Yeah the support is free where I live! It's a bit of a hassle to get though :/ There are a lot of tests and about a 3 or 4 year waiting time for the first interview, same as Chicodeoro. It's just so sad that a lot of struggling people never get the chance to transition because someone else decides they aren't "trans enough". Self medication is the other option, but it's sooo expensive.

RN I'm still waiting for my first contact with a clinic, but I'm really afraid that they will think I'm not feminine enough

Well I'm FtM and pre everything, but over here all healthcare is private (America, you know, the one with a lot of idiots running the country). My job would have benefits, mainly insurance, making it more affordable (if I was full time).

OMG I'm so sorry! It's gotta be hard to not even have the option of your transition getting paid for by the government. I feel like it would make the decision a lot harder if I were in your shoes, I hope you can find some kind of solution!

Thank you, but it's ok. I actually have enough saved up supposedly but I have to use that to move as fast as possible (and emergencies). It's when I can't save a lot of money that I worry about.

Also @alinaaethena there are some apps like rocket money that can show you where to save money
