So, my dad accepts the fact that I'm trans. He even buys me binders. My mom, however, does not.
She thinks the LGBTQ+ community is "wrong". We're Christians, so I know where she's coming from, but it still really bothers me. If I was with my dad full time, he'd let me cut my hair.
    But I'm not.

I want to come out to my mom so I can start my transition, but I'm scared she'll kick me out...

What's the best way to approach this?

This is so hard because my trans brother is in the same position. He’s waiting until he moves out, but the wait is hard on him... If she did kick you out (which I’m sure you want to avoid) would you be able to live with your dad full time? I know that it wouldn’t make you feel any better about the conversation with your mom, but I’m curious what your situation is.

From what I gather it sounds like your parents are separated. And if there is a strong possibility that your mother will kick you out, then you need to be prepared for that. Will your father let you live with him permanently?

And if they are still together then I don't think your dad will let her kick you out. The best course of action in either case is to speak with your dad before you are going to talk to your mom.

I actually wouldn't mind getting kicked out cause I'd be with my dad and he'd let me cut my hair. As for your brother, tell him I say hi. <3

I think you and your dad should talk to your mom together because your dad is supporting and that might help her support you as well. Btw I support you 100%

It shouldn't matter that they hate each other it should only matter that they both love and and accept you
