Thanks to Xequar, I'm new to this forum. I'll try to keep this intro short, but I'm fairly long-winded, so bear with me: I am a pharmacist in Kalamazoo, MI (USA) where I was born and raised. I got my Pharm.D. (Doctor of Pharmacy) degree from Ferris State University in 2006 and returned home to work with my family's two independent pharmacies. On the spectrum of sexuality, I'm near the homosexual end but I do still have some attraction to women. The more I debate to call myself bi or gay, I tend towards bi but that seems like such a 50-50 term and it's more like 90-10 so like you'll see that I chose gay for my profile. I am completely single and am not the type to pursue a relationship. I am not completely out -- my family, coworkers, and Church do not "know" (though I'm not naive -- my family knows; they just haven't heard me say it). My friends are now all pretty much aware. This is one of the reasons I agreed to join the community -- I need a little more help psyching up to tell my family. I'm a devout Christian. I practice Roman Catholicism and have been a life-long Roman. My faith is a huge part of my life and my religion also plays a large role. The Church has not only been a source for direction and guidance but also a source for challenge and struggle. I look forward to the discussion to be generated here and can't wait to read the recent posts to start to meet everyone here.
Welcome...I know how it feels to struggle with being gay and being involved with the church...I am only 14 and I struggle with it myself. This is a wonderful place, and I am sure you'll find it supportive in anything you do... Half-Light
Hello Blamblazer! Welcome to EC! If it's community you're looking for, you've found the right place ^^ the people here are very nice and supportive. I think the consensus is that most bisexuals have a preference for one gender over the other, but I don't think it's anywhere near that concrete. Heh, a little more than two years ago, I thought I was straight! Either way, the only person who has the right to label you is you ^^
