Have you ever tried on a piece of clothing as a joke, but grew to like it?

This has happened to me before. A couple of years ago I was clothes shopping and I stumbled upon a hat. I thought I'd look absolutely ridiculous wearing it, so I tried it on and turned to look in a mirror to laugh at myself. However, when I actually did look into the mirror I realised that it actually suited me and ended up buying the hat.

For those who might be curious, it was a Breton cap.

Yep. I started wearing my brother's straw fedora as a joke due to all the "weird guy wearing a fedora" memes...and then realized it looked amazingly good on me, especially at the beach. He never got it back, and it lives in my car now.

I wish I had the self confidence for things like that.

I have a baseball cap that I sometimes were as a snap back - I feel a mix of dumb and hot bro lol

My fishing shirt, Not a "going fishing" shirt, but a shirt that is fishing themed. It's a button up short sleeve brown pattern of cream background. The pattern has fishing boats and fish and hooks and the likes on it.

I used to wear it to school when I felt like it, it looked weird to my classmates because I usually wear semi-formal to formal clothing to school so me wearing a sorta normal looking shirt was confusing.

I stole my brother’s fave sweat pants, that are double my size, to bother him(I don’t remember why) and they are the most comfortable things ever, and I wear em always. I never meant to wear them at all.
