No, except for Casper the friendly ghost...now he was a badass!

I've heard stories but if the stories are actually factual these spirits are good-natured ones. Ideas that they're scary and cause terror is dumb. It's what the darker side of existence wants you think...to be afraid.

What  That's crazy! What happened? That sounds truly horrifying!

Your roommate was probably astral projecting. I've done that, and for a time you basically become a ghost...... yet you are still alive. Once I even saw my own body in the bed

No, but my niece spoke about this yellow glowing woman who used to tuck her in at night. It was quite weird because the way she described her sounded like my sister's grandmother!

At the care home where some of my family works, a few of the residents have spoken about this little girl that they keep seeing, even if there aren't any families visiting. One of the ladies even refuses to sleep in her room because she is scared of seeing 'the little girl'.

Once I heard someone whisper in my ear when I was trying to fall asleep. There was nobody in my room. But I was not really sober that evening so yeah.

    I don't believe in ghosts.

My girlfriend told me she had seen ghosts before we started dating. I think she was trying to impress me. //^_^// I saw a ghost once in my room. It was a dog. I was so scared, when I turned the light on it disappeared. It might have just been my eyes playing a trick on me, though.

Timo, I've heard this SO MUCH. I'm drifting off and suddenly some guy sings a song in my ear or someone whispers something in my ear. BUT I SLEEP ALONE!!! It's SO scary! Especially because I'm sober.

I've never seen one, but I've heard and felt one.

We used to live in an old house where a priest had died. My siblings and I would hear people walking up the stairs at night, but there were never anyone there when we checked. The room would randomly go cold, and things sometimes fell out of shelves.
And in the room where the priest had died, there was sometimes this ominous feeling of "you're not welcome here".

The most scary was that we had a set of drums (one bongo drum and a taller drum) in that room. The drums themselves weren't scary, but one day when I was out in the backyard, reading, I heard someone play the drums. I went upstairs, but no one was there. In fact, there was no one in the entire house.
I went back downstairs, and a few minutes later, the drums started playing again.

At that point, I was so freaked out that I turned them upside down. That luckily put a stop to it, otherwise I don't know what I would have done.

    Ech, nothing major.

At an old house we used to live in, things in the house would be moved around. Like, big things. Like, my bed would be shifted a foot or two, when we were all out at my grandpa's house. My sister experienced stuff to. We'd be home just the two of us, or one of us, and furniture would move upstairs. Mom and dad would always accuse us if something weird happened, but we were rarely the cause.

The light would go on and off in my closet while I was trying to sleep. A couple times if I had a bag packed for going out of town, all the clothes would be thrown around. Little things.

My friend said that he heard the sound of a woman crying in the common room.
At the time it happened, I was the only one beside him in that room.
Do I have a feminine crying dreamtalking voice? I ain't remember no crying!

I've only experienced a few things. My aunt has a few acres of property. It slopes upward and on the top of her property is a little patch of woods, not very big at all. My cousin and I were in that wooded area one day, playing. We were probably 8-10 years old at the time. There was a little path to go out of the wooded area. I remember looking down the path to the exit, and then looking back at what we were doing. I saw something when I looked down the path, but it didn't register until after I turned away. What I saw was a man and a woman. But they were dressed weird, in Victorian-like clothes. The man had an old-style suit on, and the woman an old dress. But when I looked back down the path, they were gone. I'd never seen them before. And I never saw them again. I have no idea who they could have been.
After that, there was one instance where my cousin and I were plaing on the swingset that was downhill from that wooded area. We both got a horrible feeling that we were being watched. But it felt like it was coming from the wooded area up the hill. No one was up there. Everyone was inside the house, which is downhill from the swingset, not uphill. I think it was the couple I saw before.

And I remember one time while my boyfriend and I were at home. We live in a duplex. We have the upper floor and the neighbor has the bottom floor. It was later in the night, and we were in the bedroom. No one else lives eith us, and the neighbor wasn't home. Our front door is downstairs, and immediately inside the door is stairs to go up to our floor. As we laid in bed that night, we suddenly heard noises. It sounded like someone was running up the steps. And then there was silence. My boyfriend went out to check, but no one else was in the house. Both front door and back door were locked, without being forced open. That was the only time something like that happened in this house though, so I don't know what to think about that.

My boyfriend's family has told me stories of his parents' house. There is a cabinet in their kitchen that is always cold. His dad put insulation in, but no matter how much he put in or anything else he does, it's still cold there, but the rest of the house is okay. And I guess when my boyfriend's nephew was younger, he used to look at corners and stuff, like someone was there, and they even caught him talking to people. One time, he was one side of the back porch with my boyfriend's mom. No one else was outside. He walked across the porch to a chair and looked up, as if someone was sitting in the chair and he was looking up into their face. He asked "Why are you crying?"
Apparently the old lady who owned the house before them died in the house. In the kitchen, the same room with the cold cabinet. They think that all that stuff is her, and that she stays in the cabinet and that's why it's so cold.

No, sadly. Which is probably a good thing. But I love reading other people's ghost stories!

Not really. I was around 15 when it happened. Apparently for a week or so I was going bat shit crazy, knocking things around in the house, banging my head on walls and bedposts and talking in voices and screaming. Towards the end it seemed like the spirit of my great-grandfather was inside me. My Grandparents thought so since I said things I have no clue of knowing. My Great-Grandfather died before I was even born. I was back to normal a bit later, but everyone was freaking out. I just remember seeing a truckload of relatives at my place crying like crazy and a load of religious elders.

It wasn't till I was older that I realized what happened was akin to a religious, Hindu type exorcism. My family doesn't talk about it much, but I remember bits and pieces.

It also doesn't help that after that, my parents stuck me in a psychiatric hospital for a week after that. That's the only part I remember soundly.

Me, my brothers, and my cousins were at my grandparents for the summer. Our grandparents went to the air force base to buy groceries and left my 14 year old brother in charge, and a storm happen to blow in and the TV channels went out so we turned it off. Then we started hearing noises. It sound like the back door being knocked on. I thought it was the cat who sleeps on the enclosed patio, but when I checked the cat wasn't on the patio. We kept hearing the door open and then we started hearing our names being called. We thought it was our grandmother because it sounded like her, but ever time we went to the kitchen to see if she was home yet there was no one there. It started creeping us out. My brothers and cousins actually climded behind the couch to hide, while I stayed in the Ricking chair. Eventually me and my eldest brother heard both our names being called. We creep out the living room. To get to the kitchen you have to pass through the dining room, and from the dining room you can see a little hallway with a bathroom at the end, a bedroom on the left side, and another bedroom with stairs to the attic on the right. That right bedroom has a closet that is connected to another closet belonging to the bedroom off the living room. As we were passing through the dining room me and brother both froe because we saw a shadow dart out the right bedroom and into the left bedroom. We both ran back to the living room and he jumped back behind the couch with the rest of the kids. You have to climb over the couch to get behind it and I was to small to manage it at the time , so I had to sit in the chair beside the bedroom door, the same bedro connected to the room the shadow darted out of. And all I could think about the whole time was the dream I had two years earlier of a spider like demon creature crawling down the attic stairs.

    .
    .
    .
And then there is my other grandparents. They lived in a house built by my great grandfather and grandmother. I would walk down the hallway with my eyes close because I always felt like something was watching me. The worst for me was my grandmothers closet, it didn't have a door and I often felt like if I looked over I would see someone peering at me.
One night when I was 10 (I shared the bed with my grandmother. It was a 3 bedroom house and there were 6 of us in there) I went to sleep. I immeaditly started having a nightmare, the kind where you trip off a cliff and you fall and fall and fall with the ground coming ever closer. I've had that dream for as long as I can remember and I always manage to jump awake before I hit the ground, usually when I pass a branch sticking out the side of the cliff wall. That time I didn't. The ground was approaching closer and closer, faster and faster. I knew that if I hit the ground I would die but all I could do was cry and yell for help. I was probably ten seconds from hitting the ground when a see through arm shot out the cliff wall and grabbed hold of my arm. It didn't pull me to safety but instead started shaking me in till I snapped awake. I felt like I literally jumped back into my body, because me jumping awake actually shook the whole bed. I also sat up real quickly which meant I was looking at the closet. I shit you not, I saw a pale face looking back at me, and at the same time I was aware the my arm was freaking freezing as hell where I had been grabbed in my dream. There would actually be bruises the next day. I could tell the face was that of a woman and I'm pretty sure my grandfather's first wife saved me from dying in my sleep. Talking about it with my brother and cousins it seems they've all encountered either the woman ghost or that of our great grandfather. We've all seen white figures in the hallway as kids. And currently my eldest brother, his gf, and his son live in that house. The GF often hears doors slamming open and things falling over. My brother has had his toes pulled while laying on the couch. And my nephew has had several nights in the last year where he refuses to sleep in his room (the one where I saw the ghost) because "the person in the closet is breathing to loud"

As I've for older I really don't see anything in those places. I might sometimes feel like I am being watching but I like to think that its just my ancestors checking in on us and their land.

That sounds really scary. I don't know what I would do if that happened to somebody I knew. Glad you got better, though.

    That's some freaky stuff, huh?

My mom says she used to have a sister who was demon-posessed. She used to talk to "someone" or "something" as if they were standing right there. And she used to dissappear a lot for many days, and have random seizures. One time she went missing for over 3 months and they found out she travelled all the way acrosd the country to find a "doctor"! She returned back to normal after that, apparently, and lived a normal life. She's dead now, but nobody realky knows what happened to her to this day. Pretty freaky huh?

Holy Shit Dude! I thought my paranormal experiences were crazy! I guess people have experienced far more crazy stuff. Wow, I can't even believe this. Wow, just wow. I will say that the only thing I have experienced that is similar is the fact that I hear voices sometimes. Okay, I know how that sounds....... crazy as fuck. I'm not though. To be honest, I don't really hear them that much anymore. However, I used to hear them all the time when I was finishing school. Like I'd hear whispers and occasional statements about me and things around me like 20-30 times a day. They talked to each other too. Nowadays, it's pretty infrequent like maybe once a month or even less. Sometimes, I'll have them for like a couple nights in a row though, especially if I am stressed. I don't know if this was supernatural or hallucinatory. Of course, I have entertained the idea that this may be supernatural...... but I kind of think I was just hallucinating. My family also seemed to think that it was just all in my head, and I thought the same thing. Still, it was really something and it was almost like we got to be friends  I know how it sounds, but I'm not really as crazy as your probably all thinking. I function, and there are plenty of other people who have/have had stuff like that and are functioning, relatively sane people. Just look it up, it's not as crazy as it sounds, trust me. I told some people in my family who are actual psychologists, and they all agreed that it's not as "crazy" as you might think. Anyways, I don't know about it being "spirits" or not, but I can certainly see where someone might think that.

This other stuff I talked about was just different though. I can tell the difference between what's in my head, and what is actual paranormal stuff. The paranormal stuff just has a different vibe to it than the stuff that's all in my head. It also is very occasional, and it's not something I experience much at all. The paranormal is much more intriguing, riveting, but much less "ordinary" for me. The paranormal is real in some sense. I hear this is common amongst people who are psychic, that some of their "visions" are merely things from their own psyche, but there are some others that are legitimately paranormal. So, maybe that's what's going on with me?
