How do I ask a new person I'm dating if she has been tested since her last relationship? I am worried about both of our sexual health and I have luckily not gotten anything but I know not all STDs/STIs show symptoms and I just want to be safe. I just don't know how to ask that awkward question in a new relationship.

If you don't want to straight out ask maybe you should try to bring it up casually and try to lead into the question. But sometimes from my experience you may just have to ask, there's nothing wrong with wanting to be safe, in my I opinion it's being smart and responsible.

"Have you been tested recently?" Perfectly acceptable question, if you ask me.

I think so but is there a good way to bring it up and ask? I know that I am a very awkward person with a lot of anxiety, I'm probably building this up in my head mire than I need to but I just don't
    want to make things weird.

"Because I'm concerned about our mutual health and safety, have you been tested recently?" Bluntly, is fine.
