LGBT News Hated filled response to Same Love by Christian "Rapper"

It just sounds like the usually Christian bs to me. Saying unsupported claims as facts.

Can anyone post the lyrics to this tripe, I'm already in a bad mood and the last thing I want is to have my ears bleeding. However, I don't expect to be anything less than the same ol' school of christian stupidity.

 

I could only stand about 2 mins, but it was mostly black rage over comparing the struggles of LGBT to jim crow and the ghetto.

And you say it’s about rights but you lying though – domestic partnerships gave you rights a long time ago.
God created marriage when he did he defined it though so why is it that you want what he created but denying no.
It’s not wicked enough switching the definition you want it done by a Christian in a church he worships in?

 

Here's my first question; I'm atheist, why should I care about what a being I don't believe exists may or may not think and a book I believe is a load of fairy stories says about me being gay?

 

Ugh. I will give $50 to the first person to find an argument against homosexuality that does not bring religion into things. Without religion, the whole argument collapses.

Well, someone in my Oral Communications class did an argument against same-sex marriage in a speech and he managed to not say anything about religion. I kinda respected him for managing to give better reasons than just "it's a sin". But, all his reasons were around adoption. So you really won't find that many reasons against homosexuality other than religion and adoption.

 

I think he said something about people who are gay attacking old women. I didn't know we did this.

My thoughts exactly. I could only listen for about two and a half minutes to this completely ignorant shit. Seriously, "pushing for this gay thing"? It's called fighting for rights. He says it's not the same as the African-Americans fighting for their rights, but in a way, it's very similar. They're born with their skin color. We're born with our sexual orientation. And we all deserve rights.

 

People like this are what gives Christians a bad name. Not all Christians are like this and it heartbreaking to see someone you their faith as an excuse to be ignorant and rude. They spend so much time focusing on "the dangers of homosexuality" that they miss the how point about how Jesus preached loving your neighbor and enemy a like. I am not say that the GSM community should be considered the enemy, I saying that this person is completely missing the how point of what Jesus preached about, and that was to love one another.

That is awesome, when people use the Bible as a weapon, use it as a shield.

 

I'm not a fan of any religion that preaches mercy bit practices hate. Blind faith leads to zealotry which is still a problem today.

Sad thing is people who cite the bible in opposition to the LGBT community can't stand it when you go counter to their ideas with the same book.
