Well, since others have posted theirs, I might as well.

I added the "fabulous" one to show what my lower case f's look like since they tend to stand out in my writing. the curls on some of my letters (like my f's) are about as cursive as my writing gets.

My handwriting is readable, but perhaps a bit dull. Still, gets the job done I guess.

Totally off topic but I love your profile picture. Hail drunk McCree!

I once bought left handed scissors and I loved it so much. Wouldn't let anyone touch them in case they never gave it back.

I think it's mostly nurture. My handwriting used to be extremely untidy

My handwriting is mostly simple print. It's quick and easy for other people to read. I guess it looks stereotypically female when I draw little love hearts next to it XD

One thing that to me is stereotypically "girly" is making letters a bit "bubbly." I don't know where girls got the memo to do that.

One could never tell I love creative writing by my penmanship. It's legible and that's about it; not at all pretty.

I believe handwriting is mostly nurture. You have to train yourself on how to write letters nicely as well as quickly. If you lack in either of those, you're not going to be great at it. Nature might have something to do with your aptitude for picking up making letters by hand, but I'm of the opinion it's mostly practicing muscle memory. In third grade we learned cursive and how the lower loop of the "g" goes around to close completely like so, and I liked the look so much I incorporated it into my regular print. Now it would feel extremely forced to make a free-hanging tail on a lowercase g. And forget about writing in all caps; that's like someone three or four drinks in trying to walk a tightrope.

My handwriting is barely legible to me, and illegible to others.

    I am right handed.

I'm right-handed and I think my handwriting is fairly neat. I write with a mixture of cursive and printed letters. My sister and my brother are both left-handed and neither have bad hand-writing, my sister's is larger though. My brother is a doctor, so I can't confirm that myth haha. My Mum was also born left-handed but forced to switch when she was at school, so she writes with her right-hand, her handwriting is quite nice.

I think people's handwriting is probably a mixture of nature and nurture. I think personality plays a part because if you're a careless person you're not going to make an effort to make it look nice. And then pressure from society might affect it also, eg people feeling as though they can't write a certain way because of gender-stereotypes. Handwriting is really an expression of yourself.

Sample of my handwriting. It's by no means neat, but at least it's legible
Wish I had a neat handwriting. I've tried, but it just ends up looking forced and ugly :icon_sad:

    Oh, I forgot to add, I'm right-handed

This is my handwriting, as you can see I'm not very neat at all. I have a quite messy handwriting style despite being a writer. I'm right handed.

Go to the URL to see my handwriting.
