How many others have struggled with family or handling the holidays this week? My girlfriend's mom reminded us how concerned for our souls she is this week. Thankfully, she waited until the day after Thanksgiving to start in on that.

I'm so sorry hear that. I had a great thanksgiving because it was only my son and I. LOL I knew if i spent time with my family or ex-in laws that I might have heard negative comments and disapproval. I wanted to enjoy my holiday so I kept to myself. Im not sure if thats a good thing or a bad thing.

Yuck, sorry you went through that. I used to get letters from family members concerned for my soul.(not even out of the closet to them) It's a slimy feeling that that kind of disregard gives you.

My parents have both been dead for quite a few years, and the rest of my family have been very supportive, so luckily I've never had to deal with anything like that. However I did have one ( now ex) friend who offered me the chance to undergo conversion therapy at her church!

Oh, my, Landgirl. Not cool! I'm so glad there are accepting churches that don't do that nonsense. How some hold onto 5 verses that are both Old Testament and about rape, rather than loving relationships is beyond me.

Yesssss. Family time means plenty of deadnaming, misgendering, and homophobia. At least most of my extended family isn't really overt about it.
