Anyone here from Germany I would like to ask you what the LGBT community is like in Germany.

Plan on moving there in a few months. From what I gather it's accepted from nearly everyone to be gay. About all I know.

Ah well that's a given I mean I don't like to hear so much about straight people's "straightness".

I plan on being around Köln/Düsseldorf.

Not to diss your current location, but having visited or been through Idaho Falls many times, I can guarantee to you that Germany will feel like heaven in terms of LGBTQ acceptance when you compare to where you are now. Especially if you live in one of the cities.

There's always going to be some opposition, especially in the older crowd, but it really is leaps and bounds ahead of small town America with this.

No idea. I guess some are okay with it, others are not.

I think it depends on where you're heading. Big cities like Berlin or Hamburg - yep everything's fine. Some small town in Bavaria - probably less accepting.

I live in Germany and have never seen this.

But I can second this. Berlin is wonderful indeed.

My hometown is worthy to diss on, very much aware that Germany will probably be way better of an area to live in for being gay.

Only in southern Europe and France. Definitely not in northern, central and Eastern Europe. Northern European cultures are far too reserved for that.
