I love science and maths. I'm a physics grad and am finishing my second degree in diagnostic radiography, so if you want discussions in physics/cosmology, maths, human anatomy/physiology (including radiobiology) and pathologies, I'm happy to have a discussion. I've also studied to a lesser degree geology and planetary sciences as I find these interesting too.

As you have probably gathered, I'm a geek and a nerd.

    Happy days

Howdy ;D Physics & Astronomy student here (currently taking year out though!) I'm not really a "nerd" though, since I love the arts too (I'm just getting impressions of "nerds" etc from my friends, who seem to love nothing but sci fi).

    You like science huh...
What is your favorite theory of reality or quantum understanding?

The whole For Dummies series has some great stuff on science and philosophy.

I don't like string theory after I read the book Not Even Wrong, I recommend it to everyone :O
That book DID made me realize how genius Ed Witten is.

That being said, I love physics!!! Can I join the gang ?

I love Ed Witten! Steven Hawking said that Witten was one of the only people who challenged his mind, so that's saying something. :icon_bigg

Ed Wittens made the whole scientist community go after string theory when they didn't believe it, and invented the math to handle with it that only he understands!
    Yep, hes a badass

I've had an innate love of science ever since I was a child. Nothing formal, but I'm always eager to learn. I usually have my nose in a science book of some kind or another.

Maths are hard for me. I'm fascinated by physics especially. I "get" it on a certain level, but wrapping my head around the actual numbers (or lack thereof. Complex numbers, how you boggle me) does my mind in sometimes.

I've just finished my degree in maths - and totally missing Galois Theory! It's just so beautiful!! Yeah...total maths nerd here...love me some linear algebra!
But I did a few physics-y modules too - Quantum mechanics was interesting, and relativity for mathematician nearly killed me, but it was also very cool. I think I'd like relativity better in a physics class.

I like Physics and Math very much. They are among the most recurring of my (maaaany) interests and hobbies, but I've not had any formal training. I've done some online courses though, apart from my self-studies, and I'm subscribed to many science and maths youtube channels.

Considering I hope to go into physics (specifically astrophysics), I definitely have an extreme love for science. And math. Some would say I find it too fascinating. How could I not though?

    I LOVE science! :icon_bigg

Math on the other hand... makes me shit myself...

My favorites are biology and neuroscience, but I think all sciences are interesting.

If I have to pick my least favorites, they'd probably be geology (pretty boring compared to other sciences) and physics (very interesting, but I get mindfucked once equations show up).
