LGBT News Florida passes anti-trans bill SB-254

    Bill SB 254 bans minors from seeking gender affirming care in Florida and places many obstacles in the way of adults seeking and receiving the care making it extremely difficult to receive gender affirming care in the state.

    Not only is Florida passing SB 254, they also passed a bill HB 1521 which restricts where transgender people can use public washrooms, and bill SB 1438 which "punishes people and venues that allow kids to adult-oriented shows with "lewd" content". Essentially targeting drag shows and banning drag queens/kings from reading to children.

    I'm sorry, it's sad how many horrible, foolish people there are in govt. and all those who vote for them. Next year they will push it to the next level further limiting rights to adults unless y'all in those states stop voting for them. Of course they have the districts so jerryrigged that they still get a majority of seats with a minority of votes. It's minority rule and is not how representative govt. is supposed to work. Doesn't sound like taxation w/ proper representation, which is supposed to be one of our founding ideals. "Give us your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, so the wealthy can work them for as little and long as possible, but not too much so they start a messy revolution like France had, lol."
