    Overall, definitely Progressive Rock. So many great bands, from the classics like Pink Floyd and Genesis and King Crimson, to the new contenders for greatness, like The Mars Volta (probably the second best Prog band behind Gabriel's Genesis), Porcupine Tree, and Rishloo.

    But I like a lot of different genres as well, ranging from rap to pop. My avatar is one of my favorite pop albums of all time, after all. (In case I change my avatar in the future, the album I'm referring to is Rubber Soul. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: )

    I tend to like most genres, (The sole exception being modern country and crunkcore.) but my favorite genre is either hip hop or metal. It fluctuates from those two day to day.

    I listen to many genres but my favorites would be rock, industrial metal (Marilyn Manson, Nine Inch Naills) and shoegaze (My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive).

    You could name just about any type of music and I'll give you some kind of list of artists I like. Metal and hardcore is my default, though.

    All kinds, except metal. Mostly classic rock and stuff from the 80s. I'm also really into synthwave at the moment. If you love synthesizers, you'll love synthwave :slight_smile:

    I am of the opinion that any music can be good if done right. I am also of the opinion that most modern artists don't do it right, so...
    The genres I enjoy the most would be classic rock, classic metal, (so really anything from the 60's - the 80's)symphonic metal, and techno. Then obscure youtube artists of various genres. I don't like popular rap. I can get behind rap (Hamilton is the BEST) but a lot of the really popular stuff (Kanye, M&M, etc.) really grinds my gears.

    Definitely rock music. Punk, indie, progressive, hard, pop, etc. Also like a little bit of pop and goth cabaret music. And musicals! Even though those rarely fit into one genre. Basically, if it's weird enough that most people my age would think it's cool but the older generations think it's evil, I probably like it.

    Some of my favorite bands are Florence + The Machine, Paramore (though they've been drifting towards straight up pop music lately), Tool/A Perfect Circle, Marina and the Diamonds, Panic!, System of a Down, MSI, The Dresden Dolls, and Placebo.

    I'm always going between hardcore, grind, and metalcore bands (such as Code Orange Kids, Unit 731, Punch, Ringworm, Full Of Hell etc.) and shoegaze-y and modern emo/ grunge stuff that sounds like it's from the 90's (such as Adventures, Run Forever, Milk Teeth, Pity Sex, etc.). But I also listen to obscure stuff like Russian folk and noisecore. I try to focus more on current artists than ones that have been around for a while or are no longer around.
