I can't pick one so here it goes:

    Alternative rock
    House
    French House
    Acid House
    Electro
    Funk
    Disco
    Jazz
    Blues
    Soul
    R&B
    Dance
    Deep House
    Synthpop

There might be more but this is the general spread. I really don't care what genre a song is though, I just like a song if it sounds good.

I've been listening to classical music a lot more lately. As I get older, I appreciate it more. I especially like listening to it while reading. It's kind of awkward listening to it while relatives and a neighbor blast Ranchera (Tex Mex) music, though. lol

I'd have to say folk and different kinds of indie folk, folk rock and folk revival. I love acoustic and live music and folk is often performed live and acoustic. I love the raw natural settings for folk and really feeling a connection to the music and the performer. In folk songs usually tell beautiful, interesting stories that really capture your attentions and adds a whole new dimension to the music which probably the biggest reason I love the genre so much. Whatever I might listen to at any given time I usually always come back to this genre even though I can enjoy everything from the most cheesy pop music to death metal to classical music.

For me I like so many genres, but one sort of way I can describe what I like is danceable music that has a slow soft sort of beat, so the music of today is not so much what I like. Indie Pop and Indietronica and Synthpop are probably my favourite modern music genres. Head to the late 90's and early 2000's and I in particular like electronic music and even cheesy pop music, For hip hop and rap, the subject matter must be political rather than sexual, an example of this is most proper Aussie Hip Hop(not Iggy Azalea, but rather The Herd, Combat Wombat and Native Knowledge to name just a few).

I also like some strange music types like Italo Disco(Spacesynth), Chiptune(Sabrepulse and others).

But now for my favourite genreDrum roll please The genre is Electronic.

The reason for this is that electronic music has so many sub genres that I enjoy listening to and a lot of what I like can be redrawn to the electronic music genre at it's base.

Alternative rock and new psychadelia. My favorite band is MGMT, so. ^^ I do enjoy classical music as well, though, which is natural, since I play piano and cello. My favorite composers would be Debussy, Chopin, Liszt and Tchaikovsky.

Finally!! I honestly never met anyone else, (except for the people at the concert) that like MGMT. I've loved that band since I first heard them back in 2009. Easily one of the best bands of the 21th century, if not the best imho.:newcolor: The best psychedelic rock since Pink Floyd for sure tho.
